About Singaraja

Singaraja, the former colonial capital of Bali, is located on the north coast of the island. The city's name means "Lion King" and reflects its historical importance as Bali's main administrative center during Dutch rule.

The city features interesting colonial architecture and the Gedong Kirtya Library, which houses ancient Balinese manuscripts. The nearby Lovina Beach area is famous for dolphin watching and black sand beaches.
