About Palawan Island
Palawan, dubbed "The Last Frontier" of the Philippines, stretches across 4,706 square miles (12,189 square kilometers) between the South China and Sulu seas. The island's crown jewel is the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. This remarkable cave system extends for miles under limestone cliffs, creating a unique underground river ecosystem.
The island chain boasts extraordinary biodiversity, hosting two more UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park and the Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary.
