About Angeles City
Angeles City, located in Pampanga province, gained prominence as the home of the former Clark Air Base, once the largest U.S. military facility outside mainland America. After the base's closure in 1991, the area transformed into the Clark Freeport Zone, a major business and aviation hub. The city is renowned as a culinary destination, particularly for Kapampangan cuisine, considered among the finest in the Philippines. Notable attractions include Balibago, the entertainment district, and Holy Angel University, one of the region's oldest private Catholic universities.
