Terminal 3 at Singapore Changi Airport, which opened in 2008, represents one of the most technologically advanced terminals in the facility. With an annual capacity of 22 million passengers, this five-story terminal encompasses approximately 380,000 square meters of floor space and features a distinctive butterfly-themed architectural design.

The terminal's most notable feature is its roof architecture, which incorporates 919 skylights with intelligent sensors that automatically adjust to let in optimal amounts of natural light. A 5-story vertical garden, known as the Green Wall, spans 300 meters across the terminal building and features various species of climbing plants.

Terminal 3 houses Singapore Airlines' first and business class lounges and serves as a major hub for Singapore Airlines' international operations. The terminal is equipped with 28 aerobridge gates, including eight that can handle A380 aircraft. Its facilities include a four-story slide, an entertainment deck, and a fully automated baggage handling system capable of processing 19,200 bags per hour. The terminal is directly connected to Changi Airport MRT station and provides seamless access to other terminals via the Skytrain system.
