Terminal 1 at Singapore Changi Airport, opened in 1981, is one of the major terminals serving this international aviation hub. After several upgrades and renovations, including a significant modernization completed in 2019, it maintains an annual handling capacity of 21 million passengers.

The terminal features a distinctive kinetic rain art installation in its arrival hall, consisting of 1,216 bronze droplets that create various patterns through computer-controlled automation. Terminal 1 spans five levels, including a basement, and offers extensive dining and retail facilities across approximately 308,000 square feet of commercial space.

Connected to other terminals via Changi Airport Skytrain, Terminal 1 provides direct access to Jewel Changi Airport through an air-conditioned linkbridge. The terminal serves multiple international airlines and features 21 gates, including stands that can accommodate the Airbus A380. Its modern facilities include automated immigration clearance systems and a fully automated baggage handling system.
