About Terminal C

Terminal C is one of the seven terminals at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), located in Atlanta, Georgia. The terminal serves as a major hub for domestic and international flights, handling millions of passengers annually as part of the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic.

Opened in 1980 as part of the airport's modernization program, Terminal C spans approximately 1.2 million square feet and features two levels. The upper level accommodates departing passengers with check-in counters, security checkpoints, and gate areas, while the lower level handles arriving passengers and baggage claim facilities. The terminal contains 35 gates designated C1 through C35, with jetbridges connecting aircraft directly to the terminal building.

Delta Air Lines operates the majority of flights from Terminal C, utilizing it as part of their extensive Atlanta hub operation. Other airlines serving the terminal include regional carriers and select domestic operators. The terminal connects to the airport's Plane Train automated people mover system, providing transportation to other terminals, the domestic terminal, and ground transportation areas.

Terminal C offers various passenger amenities including restaurants, retail shops, charging stations, and free Wi-Fi throughout the facility. The terminal underwent significant renovations in the 2010s to modernize gate areas and improve passenger flow.

Like other terminals at ATL, Terminal C connects to the airport's rental car center and ground transportation hub via the automated train system, facilitating passenger connections to downtown Atlanta and surrounding metropolitan areas.
