About Terminal F

Terminal F at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is one of the airport's seven passenger terminals, serving as a major hub for domestic and international flights. The terminal opened in 1980 as part of the airport's expansion program and has undergone several renovations to accommodate increasing passenger traffic.

Located on the airport's eastern side, Terminal F spans approximately 1.2 million square feet and features 34 gates designated F1 through F18 and F20 through F35. The terminal primarily serves Delta Air Lines and its regional partners, including Delta Connection carriers. International flights to destinations in Europe, Asia, and South America frequently operate from this terminal, making it a crucial gateway for transcontinental travel.

The terminal houses numerous amenities including restaurants, retail shops, currency exchange services, and passenger lounges. Notable dining establishments include local Atlanta favorites such as One Flew South and Paschal's Restaurant. The Delta Sky Club occupies significant space within the terminal, providing premium services for eligible passengers.

Terminal F connects to the airport's Plane Train automated people mover system, which provides transportation to other terminals and the rental car center. The terminal also features direct access to MARTA's Airport Station, offering convenient public transportation connections to downtown Atlanta and surrounding metropolitan areas.

Recent infrastructure improvements include enhanced security screening areas, expanded gate facilities, and upgraded passenger boarding bridges. The terminal processes millions of passengers annually, contributing significantly to Atlanta's position as one of the world's busiest airports.
