Description:
This map shows national park, villages, roads and beaches on Jost Van Dyke.

Jost Van Dyke Island, often called JVD by locals, is the smallest of the four main islands in the British Virgin Islands, covering just 3.1 square miles (8 square kilometers). The island was named after a Dutch privateer, Joost van Dyk, who used the island as a base in the 17th century.

Despite its small size, the island is famous for its beach bars, including the legendary Foxy's Bar in Great Harbour and the Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay, where the famous "Painkiller" cocktail was invented. The permanent population is approximately 300 people.
