Description:
This map shows towns, villages, roads and beaches on Anegada Island.

Anegada Island stands unique among the British Virgin Islands as the only coral atoll in the chain. Located approximately 15 miles north of Virgin Gorda, it spans about 15 square miles (38 square kilometers). Unlike its volcanic neighbors, Anegada's highest point is just 28 feet (8.5 meters) above sea level, making it notably flat.

The island is surrounded by the Horseshoe Reef, one of the largest barrier coral reefs in the Caribbean, stretching more than 18 miles (29 kilometers). This reef has caused numerous shipwrecks throughout history, making it a popular site for diving enthusiasts.

Anegada is home to unique wildlife, including the endangered rock iguana and various species of flamingos. The island is also known for its excellent fishing grounds and is famous for its spiny lobster. The main settlement, The Settlement, has a population of only about 200 people.
