About Canton of Neuchâtel

Canton of Neuchâtel is located in western Switzerland, bordered by the cantons of Vaud to the southwest, Bern to the southeast, and Jura to the north, as well as France to the west. The capital is Neuchâtel, known for its picturesque lakeside setting and the Neuchâtel Castle.

Other significant towns include La Chaux-de-Fonds, famous for its watchmaking industry, and Le Locle. The canton covers an area of about 310 square miles (802 square kilometers) and has a population of 178,291[1]. It is divided into 6 districts. French is the official language.
