About Port Vila

Port Vila is the capital and largest city of Vanuatu, located on the island of Efate. With a population of approximately 52,000), it serves as the country's economic and commercial center. The city was established in 1872 and became the capital of the New Hebrides in 1906, during the period of British-French colonial rule.
