About Tacoma Community College
Tacoma Community College (TCC) is a public community college located in Tacoma, Washington. Founded in 1965, the institution serves the South Puget Sound region and is part of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges system.
The main campus is situated on 243 acres in west Tacoma. TCC offers associate degrees, professional-technical certificates, and transfer programs to four-year universities. The college enrolls approximately 7,000 to 8,000 students annually.
TCC operates the Gig Harbor campus, which opened in 2013 to serve the growing population of the Gig Harbor peninsula. The college provides workforce training programs in fields such as nursing, information technology, business, and skilled trades.
The institution emphasizes accessibility and affordability for diverse student populations. TCC maintains articulation agreements with regional universities including the University of Washington Tacoma and Washington State University. The college's athletic teams, known as the Titans, compete in the Northwest Athletic Conference.
