About South Seattle College

South Seattle College is a public community college located in West Seattle. The college is part of the Seattle Colleges District and was founded in 1970 as Seattle Community College South. The institution adopted its current name in 2014. The college occupies a 87-acre campus in West Seattle, serving approximately 7,000 students annually.

Academic offerings include associate degrees, bachelor's degrees in select programs, professional-technical certificates, and transfer programs to four-year institutions. South Seattle College offers specialized programs in wine technology, craft brewing, hospitality management, and professional baking. The college operates one of the few enology and viticulture programs in the Pacific Northwest, featuring a teaching winery and student wine production facility.

The Georgetown Campus, a satellite location, houses the college's automotive technology and advanced manufacturing programs.
