About Terminal 2

Terminal 2 at Chicago O'Hare International Airport is one of four passenger terminals serving the airport. Originally opened in 1962 as the East Terminal, it was renamed Terminal 2 in 1988 during a major reorganization of the airport's terminal numbering system.

The terminal primarily serves domestic flights operated by Delta Air Lines, which maintains a hub operation at O'Hare. Other airlines using Terminal 2 include Alaska Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and various international carriers. The facility spans approximately 1.2 million square feet and features 43 gates across three concourses: E, F, and G.

Concourse E houses gates E1-E11, while Concourse F contains gates F1-F19. Concourse G operates gates G1-G13.

Terminal 2 underwent significant renovations between 2018 and 2021, including updates to passenger amenities, dining options, and retail spaces. The terminal connects to the Airport Transit System (ATS), providing transportation to other terminals and parking facilities. Ground transportation options include taxis, rideshare services, and the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line, accessible via the ATS connection to Terminal 2's lower level.
