About Terminal 4 (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport)

Terminal 4 is the largest of the passenger terminals at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It opened in November 1990 and handles the majority of the airport's passenger traffic.

The terminal is home to a number of airlines, with American Airlines operating a major hub from the facility. Southwest Airlines, among others, also operates a significant number of flights from Terminal 4.

Terminal 4 is organized into several concourses, which provide gates for both domestic and international service. The terminal underwent expansion projects in subsequent years to accommodate growth in air travel, adding gates and passenger amenities.

The terminal is served by the PHX Sky Train, an automated people mover that connects Terminal 4 with the Metro light rail system, the East Economy parking facilities, and the Rental Car Center, improving ground access to and from the terminal.

As the airport's primary international gateway, Terminal 4 includes facilities for customs and immigration processing for arriving international passengers.
