Serbia Political Map

Description:
This map shows governmental boundaries of countries, regions and regions capitals, cities, towns, villages, highways, roads, railroads and airports in Serbia.

Serbia's political map is divided into 29 administrative districts (okruzi) and the City of Belgrade, which has a special administrative status. The country's territorial organization includes two autonomous provinces: Vojvodina in the north and Kosovo and Metohija in the south, though Kosovo declared independence in 2008 (which Serbia does not recognize).

Each administrative district consists of several municipalities (opštine), with a total of 174 municipalities and 29 cities throughout the country. Belgrade, the capital and largest city, comprises 17 municipalities and serves as the country's political, economic, and cultural center.

The districts are grouped into five statistical regions: Belgrade Region, Vojvodina Region, Šumadija and Western Serbia Region, Southern and Eastern Serbia Region, and Kosovo and Metohija Region. Local governments operate at both the district and municipal levels, with varying degrees of autonomy in decision-making and resource allocation.
