The Central Business District (CBD) of Christchurch, New Zealand, is the commercial and geographical center of the city. Located on the Canterbury Plains, it features a distinctive grid pattern layout established during the colonial period in the 1850s. The CBD is bounded by four avenues: Bealey Avenue, Fitzgerald Avenue, Moorhouse Avenue, and Deans Avenue.

The district underwent significant changes following the devastating earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, which destroyed or damaged many historic buildings. The subsequent rebuild has transformed the CBD into a blend of restored heritage structures and modern architecture. Major landmarks that survived or have been restored include the Christchurch Art Gallery, Arts Centre, and the iconic Bridge of Remembrance.

At the heart of the CBD lies Cathedral Square, traditionally considered the city's focal point. The square is home to the earthquake-damaged ChristChurch Cathedral, which is currently undergoing restoration. The nearby Transitional Cathedral, also known as the Cardboard Cathedral, was built as a temporary replacement and has become a symbol of the city's resilience.
