About Makemo
Makemo is a significant atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago, stretching 60 km (37.3 miles) in length. The atoll's lagoon covers 603 km2 (233 sq mi) and features two navigable passes. Known for its pearl farming operations and shark populations, Makemo has gained popularity among diving enthusiasts.
