Saskatchewan Highways form an extensive network of roads spanning the province, with over 26,000 kilometers managed by the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. The Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) cuts across southern Saskatchewan and was the first major modern highway in the province, with Saskatchewan becoming the first province to complete its section in 1957.

The highway numbering system in Saskatchewan follows a logical pattern based on route importance and direction. Highways numbered 1-99 are primary routes connecting major centers, with the most significant being Highways 1, 11, and 16. Secondary highways include northern routes (100-199), scenic routes to parks and recreational areas (200-299), and access roads to smaller communities (300-399). The 600-699 series are north-south roads, while 700-799 are east-west routes. Far northern highways serving communities above the tree line are numbered 900-999.

Several Saskatchewan highways have commemorative designations in addition to their numbers. These include the Louis Riel Trail (Highway 11) connecting Regina to Saskatoon and Prince Albert, the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) traversing the province's central region, and the Red Coat Trail (Highway 13) following the historic path of the North-West Mounted Police. The Northern Woods and Water Route (Highway 55) provides access to the province's northern lakes and forests.

Saskatchewan's road surfaces vary considerably, with approximately 9,000 kilometers of asphalt concrete pavement, 5,000 kilometers of granular pavement, 7,000 kilometers of thin membrane surface roads, and over 5,600 kilometers of gravel highways. In winter, about 150 kilometers of ice roads serve remote northern communities. Unlike highways in many other provinces, Saskatchewan highways do not use exit numbers, instead identifying interchanges by the names of cross roads.
