Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a sovereign state located in the Lesser Antilles, Caribbean Sea. The country consists of the main island Saint Vincent and a chain of 32 smaller islands and cays that make up the Grenadines. It lies between Saint Lucia to the north and Grenada to the south.

The nation is situated at approximately 13°15'N latitude and 61°12'W longitude. The total area of the country is 389 square kilometers (150 square miles). The capital and main port, Kingstown, is located on the southern end of Saint Vincent island.
