Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is one of the largest airports in Italy, located near the town of Tessera, a northeastern suburb of Venice. It is named after the famous Venetian traveler Marco Polo, who is considered the European discoverer of China. In 2018, the airport served 11,184,608 passengers, making it the fourth largest airport in the country, both in terms of passenger traffic and number of takeoffs/landings (after Milan-Malpensa, Milan-Linate and Rome-Fiumicino).
