The Naples Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Naples, Italy. It consists of three lines: Line 1, Line 6, and the Naples-Aversa Metro (also known as Line 2, although it's technically a commuter rail service).
Line 1, often referred to as the "Metro dell'Arte" due to its artistically designed stations, connects the city center with the northern suburbs, running from Garibaldi to Piscinola. Line 6 is a light metro line currently operating between Mostra and Mergellina, with plans for future expansion.
The Naples-Aversa Metro (Line 2) operates as a commuter rail line, running from Pozzuoli to Gianturco, and is integrated with the national rail network.
The Naples Metro is an essential part of the city's public transportation system, providing efficient and reliable service to residents and visitors. It is operated by Azienda Napoletana Mobilità (ANM) and connects with other forms of public transport, including buses, trams, and funiculars, facilitating easy travel throughout Naples.
