About Manihi
Manihi is a coral atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago, spanning 27 km2 (10.4 sq mi) of land area. The atoll gained prominence in the 1960s as the pioneer site for pearl farming in French Polynesia, earning it the nickname "Pearl Island".
