About Moorea
Moorea, known as the "Magical Island," lies 17 km (10.5 miles) northwest of Tahiti. This heart-shaped volcanic island covers 134 km2 (52 sq mi) and features eight dramatic mountain peaks. The island's iconic landscape includes Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay, two deep amphitheater valleys that create one of the most photographed scenes in the South Pacific.
