About Concourse A
Concourse A is one of the primary passenger terminals at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), serving as a major hub for Delta Air Lines and its regional partners. The concourse opened as part of the airport's new terminal complex in September 2020, replacing the older terminal facilities that had served the airport since 1960.
Located on the north side of the main terminal building, Concourse A features 49 gates designated A1 through A49. The facility spans approximately 350,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate both domestic and international flights. The concourse connects to the main terminal via an underground tunnel system with moving walkways, providing passengers with weather-protected access.
Notable amenities include multiple dining options, retail stores, and Delta Sky Club lounges. The concourse incorporates sustainable design elements and advanced technology systems for improved passenger experience.
Concourse A primarily handles Delta Air Lines mainline flights and Delta Connection regional services operated by SkyWest Airlines and Endeavor Air. The facility is equipped with modern jet bridges and can accommodate various aircraft types, from regional jets to wide-body international aircraft, supporting Salt Lake City's role as a major western United States aviation hub.
