About Concourse A
Concourse A is one of three passenger concourses at Denver International Airport (DEN), located in Denver, Colorado. The concourse serves as a primary hub for United Airlines and houses gates A1 through A68, making it the largest concourse at the airport by gate count.
Opened in 1995 alongside the airport's initial construction, Concourse A spans approximately 900,000 square feet across two levels. The concourse primarily handles domestic flights, with some international services to Canada and Mexico. United Airlines operates the majority of flights from this concourse, utilizing it as their primary western United States hub.
The concourse features numerous dining and retail establishments, including both local Colorado businesses and national chains. Notable amenities include the United Club lounges, various restaurants, and specialty shops. Passengers access Concourse A via the airport's automated transit system from the main terminal.
Concourse A underwent significant renovations between 2018 and 2021, modernizing gate areas, expanding dining options, and improving passenger amenities. The facility accommodates both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft operations.
