About Terminal C
Terminal C is one of five terminals at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), located in the central area of the airport complex between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. The terminal serves as a major hub for American Airlines and handles both domestic and international flights.
Opened in 1974 as part of DFW's original terminal complex, Terminal C underwent significant renovations and expansions in the 2000s and 2010s. The terminal features 28 gates numbered C1 through C39, with some gate numbers omitted. The facility spans approximately 1.2 million square feet and is connected to the airport's automated Skylink train system, which provides transportation between all terminals.
Terminal C houses American Airlines' flagship Admirals Club lounges, including the premium Flagship Lounge for first-class and business-class passengers on international and transcontinental flights. The terminal also features the American Airlines Customer Service Center and various dining and retail establishments.
The terminal's design incorporates large windows and high ceilings, characteristic of DFW's architectural style. Security checkpoints are located on the upper level, with the main checkpoint serving gates C1-C18 and a smaller checkpoint for gates C20-C39. Ground transportation options include rental cars, taxis, ride-sharing services, and the Trinity Metro TEXRail connection to downtown Fort Worth.
Terminal C primarily serves American Airlines mainline flights and American Eagle regional services, with destinations including major U.S. cities and select international routes to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
