About Terminal B

Terminal B is one of five terminals at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), located between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. The terminal serves as a major hub for domestic and international flights, handling millions of passengers annually.

Terminal B features 38 gates numbered from B1 to B39, with gate B13 omitted due to superstition. The terminal spans multiple levels, with departures on the upper level and arrivals on the lower level. A Skylink automated people mover system connects Terminal B to all other terminals at DFW, providing free transportation between terminals every two minutes during peak hours.

The terminal underwent significant renovations completed in 2018, modernizing its facilities and improving passenger amenities. These upgrades included enhanced dining options, retail stores, charging stations, and improved Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the facility.

American Airlines operates numerous flights from Terminal B, along with several other domestic and international carriers. The terminal accommodates both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, with jet bridges designed to handle various aircraft types. Ground transportation options include rental cars, taxis, ride-sharing services, and the Trinity Metro TEXRail system, which connects DFW to downtown Fort Worth.

Terminal B includes multiple security checkpoints, baggage claim areas, and customs facilities for international arrivals. The terminal also features art installations, comfortable seating areas, and business centers for travelers. Parking is available in nearby garages connected to the terminal via covered walkways, providing convenient access regardless of weather conditions.
