Cape Town MyCiTi Bus Map

Description:
This map shows MyCiTi bus routes and stops in Cape Town.

MyCiTi is an integrated rapid transit system serving Cape Town, South Africa. The service began operations in May 2010, initially focusing on providing transportation during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The system consists of bus rapid transit routes operated by modern low-floor buses.

The network features dedicated bus lanes, enclosed stations, and a smart card payment system called myconnect. MyCiTi buses operate on both trunk routes, which use larger articulated buses on main corridors, and feeder routes that connect residential areas to the trunk routes using standard-sized buses. The system currently serves the Cape Town central business district, Atlantic Seaboard, Table View, Century City, and several other areas within the metropolitan region.

The buses are equipped with features for disabled passengers, including wheelchair ramps and designated spaces. All vehicles meet Euro V emission standards, contributing to reduced environmental impact. The system operates from approximately 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily, with varying frequencies depending on routes and time of day.

As of 2023, MyCiTi employs a fleet of over 250 buses and serves more than 250,000 passengers per month. The system continues to expand, with plans for new routes and infrastructure improvements to better serve Cape Town's growing population. The fare structure includes distance-based pricing and various package options for regular commuters.
