The airport features two runways: the main runway 13/31 is 3,190 meters long, while the secondary runway 04/22 extends 2,900 meters. Both runways are equipped with CAT III-B instrument landing system, allowing operations in low visibility conditions.
Terminal A serves as the primary passenger facility, processing both Schengen and non-Schengen flights. The airport serves as a base for Ryanair and has regular connections to major European destinations. Several cargo airlines also utilize the airport's facilities for freight operations.
Originally established in 1948, the airport underwent significant modernization in the early 21st century. The current terminal building opened in 2012, featuring modern passenger amenities including duty-free shops, restaurants, and car rental services. Ground transportation options include regular bus services to downtown Bratislava and nearby Vienna, Austria, which is approximately 60 kilometers away.
