About Frankfurt

Frankfurt, officially Frankfurt am Main, is the fifth-largest city in Germany and the largest city in the state of Hesse. Located on the Main River in central Germany, the city has a population of approximately 756,000 residents within its administrative boundaries, while the larger urban area is home to over 2.3 million people. Frankfurt serves as a major European financial hub and transportation center.

The city is Germany's leading financial center and houses the European Central Bank, the German Federal Bank, and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, one of the world's largest stock exchanges. Frankfurt Airport is Germany's busiest airport and one of Europe's major aviation hubs, handling over 60 million passengers annually.
